Street Art by Eastlakes Very Own

              Even in Eastlake you can find great street art, by locals. :)
                In Eastlakes' famous " Tunnels" where many teenagers go to hang out and be somewhere just a fence hop away from constant supervision there is the tunnel and surrounding forest area. The first image is the entrance of the tunnels, where graffiti artists have their tags sprayed with vibrant colors and perhaps their names; Roxy, Marisol (if it is their names, the artists are female) signed 2017. Also, the note on the left wall I found ironic that it was a message to the youth to appreciate meaningful graffiti, and instead they spay painted a dick over it. There were lots of CV Empire tags, claiming their territory over the area.
             So, then I hopped into the tunnel and began walking through it. Its pitch black and theres lots of weird noises like a distant gong or something. I found Hunter and Joeys tag towards the end of the first section, the tunnel dips  and separates into 2 different routes after that. Their joker tag is all black with a little splash of navy blue, and is about the size of my hand. That one is the only one I saw throughout the tunnel, but perhaps there were more further down. I also recognized one of my friends artwork on the inside, a big clown kinda face that he does a lot. As for the joker tag I'm not sure what it symbolizes however I do appreciate it and find it unique, simple and something that would be cool to see in other places around town. A simple tag that can represent youthful rebellion, and knowing the artists is pretty cool also.
The audience is other teenagers in Eastlake, Joey and Hunters friends, the most likely people to hop a fence then walk down to an underground tunnel to have fun. It looks like they used a stencil, since it is a small design and they created lines and an understandable symbol.
The third picture is a interesting design leading down the tunnel. Very Twilight Zone.

Savannah Villar-Beach Dr. Allyson Williams Nineteenth-Century European Art 20 April 2021 The Ophelia Archetype: Creating and Breaking  The piece I have chosen for my research paper is Ophelia, painted by Sir John Everett Millais in 1851-2. This piece is one of the most well-known artworks from Britain and speaks to the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood mission, of which Millais was one of the founders. In Every Moment We Are Being Saved  There I was in all my glory, finally got to the toilet seat all on my own, when a charity group walked straight into my hospital room. Unaware of what's going on they begin singing and giving me their condolences and I am just sitting there, completely horrified and embarrassed as I try to politely kick them out of my hospital room. This was a common experience in the trauma wing. It was very difficult to have privacy during my 8 days in the hospital, needing assistance for everything, even moving from my left side body to the right. And at 19 years old, being told you’ll be in a wheelchair, then a walker and then limping for the next 9 months isn't the most uplifting healing process.
